Wedding at Amarante's

It was a bit hot and humid, but the light couldn't have been much better for the ceremony Saturday evening at Amarante's in New Haven. This is another example of how great attitudes from the bride and groom can go a long way. Special thanks to Susan Falzone, who took a couple excellent first dance pictures (and many more). Congratulations Emily and Marvin!

Nice photos Travis, I like the reception ones, especially the one where the bride is dancing with her bridesmaids. Nice job!

Thanks, Val. Yes, I really like how Canon's 24-70 focusses pretty close, so I can take detail shots and general coverage of the reception with the same lens.

Thanks, Erik. I only used my wide lens twice during the entire wedding, but when I need it, I really need it!

Thank you, Carla. Yes, there were good opportunities at every part of the day. :-)

Thank you, Rob. Yes, having the opportunity to photograph emotional moments like this makes it hard to imagine that I'll ever be able to walk away from photographing weddings. How many people have as rewarding jobs as we do?
