Anna and Michael

I don't know anyone who likes to dance more than Anna and Michael. Their choreographed first dance was full of great moments, as you can see in the slideshow. The ceremony took place at St. Peter and Paul in Wallingford and the reception at St. George Greek Hall in New Britain. We were able to swing by Choate campus and Gouveia Vineyard for some pictures of the bridal party and Anna & Mike. I'm glad we did, because Tania and I were able to capture a lot of good portraits at each location. This was a very memorable wedding! Congratulations, Anna and Michael! Best of luck!

Maggie and Aaron

After discussing different possible locations for their session, Maggie and Aaron chose Boothe Memorial Park in Stratford and Silver Sands beach in Milford. What a great combination! Rose garden and boardwalk, wind mill and scenic rocks. There were certainly enough picturesque scenes for the session! Halfway through I thought of saying, "We have enough kissing pictures now", but it is their day, and it never hurts to have a few extra kissing pictures. "Perhaps if you kiss upside down it will... No, not like that..." haha. Maggie and Aaron were a lot of fun to photograph. They were often lost in each others' eyes.

Lauren and Damian

Lauren and Damian decided to have their special moment of seeing each other before the ceremony. This allowed them plenty of time for pictures with each other (before the ceremony) and with family members and bridal party (after the ceremony). It is becoming more popular to have a "special moment" early on the day of the wedding. While not for everyone, it can work nicely when there is not a lot of time between the ceremony and reception, which is often the case.

Lauren and Damian decided on a low-key, more intimate style wedding. I loved their reception room, where the toasts were delivered-- something a little different than the norm!

Some pictures in slideshow taken by Bunny Monahan. Congratulations, Lauren and Damian! Best of luck!

Heather and Sean Engagement

The weather was beautiful for Heather and Sean's engagement session at Silver Sands in Milford. It was interesting when I found out that both Heather and Sean are college soccer coaches just before the session, because I played quite a bit of soccer. Small world! I like the colorful outfits Heather and Sean chose. (Wearing entirely white on a beach can blend too much with the background sometimes.) The three of us enjoyed the beach. I hope you enjoy the slideshow. Congratulations, Heather and Sean!

Sarita and Frank Wedding Day Part Two

After photographing Sarita and Frank's ceremony in the morning, questions popped into my head for the evening: "Will the Indian theme (one theme of the wedding) be strongly tied into the reception? How will Sarita and Frank respond after a very eventful morning? What will Sarita's and Frank's reception outfits look like? Will the diversified groups of guests (including Indian, Italian, and Puerto Rican backgrounds) all dance to the same music?"

Sarita and Frank's reception at Anthony's Ocean View in New Haven went tremendously well! Everything came together. The unity of the families was evident according to the toasts. (Certainly one of the most interesting series of toasts I have heard.)

As you can see, Susan Falzone worked her magic. (Many of her pictures are also in the slideshow.)

The weather outside was wonderful for the quick photo walk just before the reception. One big, distant, dramatic storm cloud is sometimes all it takes. Congratulations, Sarita and Frank! Best of luck!
