Relay for Life

A couple weeks ago I had an opportunity to photograph a Relay for Life event at Quinnipiac University. It was encouraging to see so many Quinnipiac students support the fight against cancer. $97,000 was raised for the cause.

Ben Huggins, representing Relay for Life, encourages the student body to continue to have hope.



Students took laps throughout the night as part of the fundraiser.





The students put glowsticks into paper bags that were created in remembrance of love ones lost.

The Photographers' meeting at Megan LaBerbera's yesterday was great. I met a lot of new faces. We discussed album design, workflow, interaction with clients, and other important topics.

Crazy March Wedding

What a crazy day! After hours of rain and fog, the weather cleared. Hooray! But then the power went out. Boo! But the reception hall had a generator for the Entertainers. Horray! Yes, this wedding had a few extra emotional highs and lows, but the bride and groom's attitudes were outstanding throughout. Instead of becoming discouraged because of a few hurdles, they celebrated and danced the night away.

Thanks to Tania Sones for asking me to be a 2nd photographer for this wedding. It was also great to work with Jacob Bergmeier. It is refreshing to work with people with so much optimism and composure. Conditions weren't perfect, but Tania did her best to ensure that the families have wonderful pictures of their special day. A lot of the little things go unnoticed, but they can make the difference in the quality of the pictures at the end of the day.

First Beach Day of the Year

Wow, what an enjoyable morning! Not too many people on the beach, but the sun peaked in and out of the clouds, providing some noticeable warmth for the first time in a while. Spring is almost here!
