Lauren and Chad Engagement Session

Lauren and Chad chose Waveny Park in New Canaan for their engagement session, and I'm glad they did! Even though they were setting up for a wedding around Waveny House, there were several spots around the park that were good for this gorgeous afternoon. I really liked the outfits they chose for the session-- always nice to have some color!

Can you tell Lauren and Chad like to be close to one another? My job is easy when the couple looks this natural together. They swear they aren't world-famous models, but I dunno.

The session was a ton of fun, and I am looking forward to the wedding in August!

Family: Jay, Anne, Connor, Ceilidh

This is a session with the Awesome family. Jay & Anne recommended the Yale area of New Haven for the location. So there was some great options for architecture in the background of the pictures. Part of the reason this family was so awesome was because they weren't afraid to have a little fun. (I told them after the session that the serious, angry families were more of a challenge.) The family is quite musical, so maybe one of the last two pictures would work as a cover image for an album. What do you think? At the very least, it would make an awesome Christmas card.

Lauren and Matt

Lauren and Matt's wedding at the Society Room in Hartford was a whole lot of fun! Lauren and Matt decided to see each other beforehand, which made for some great "first look" pictures. It also allowed for some extra time for the group portraits, which we took in the Constitution Plaza area, just a short walk from the Society Room. I'm glad that Lauren and Matt scouted out that area, because the fountain and overlooking bridge made for some really nice backdrops!

How about that cake topper? First time I've seen such formally dressed strawberries! Awesome!

After the cake cutting, Lauren and Matt walked away with their arms around each other. Moments like this make it especially rewarding to photograph a wedding.

This was the first TFP wedding to feature a photo screen. Special thanks to Kelly Jensen for helping helping out with that. Special thanks to the guests for keeping things interesting back there!

Congratulations, Lauren and Matt! Best of luck!
